Being an artist requires not only producing compelling work, but also possessing the
professional skills necessary to build and sustain a career in today’s rapidly changing art world.

This 3 hour workshop will provide an overview of essential professional practices for visual
artists. Topics covered include sustaining a practice, working with galleries and museums,
writing artist statements, bios, and CVs, and utilizing websites, mailing lists, and social media.
Following lecture presentations on the topics above, there will be ample time for participant
Q&A.

(Registrants will receive access to a recording of this seminar for 2 weeks afterwards.)
