How do weather and the seasons interact with our bodies? What do they tell us about time, our connection to the planet, and to each other? How can we as writers explore weather and the seasons, going beyond their use as a passive setting, and instead reflect them as an ever-present part of our experiences with a profound impact on our lives?

Join us for a week of immersion in writing with a focus on weather and the seasons. Inspired by the emergent spring, our sensory memory, and great work by other writers, artists, and composers, we will experiment and do our own writing together. We will explore writing about the weather as an exercise of careful observation of a particular moment and engaging our full senses in our writing, as well as scope out to explore the repeating patterns and cyclic nature of the seasons.

Writers interested in general exploration, as well as those with a particular project in mind, are welcome.
