2023 Summer Workshops

Artists have always worked with master printers, experienced in their craft, to achieve superlative results. This course offers the chance for a small group of students with some experience in printmaking to hone their craft in collaboration with a master printer. Developing a group of prints, each artist will explore their ideas in woodcut, intaglio, or lithography, or possibly a combination of these. To create an edition of prints, each artist will work on experimenting with different papers, inking techniques, and registration of colors. By focusing on consistency in printing, participants will come away with a group of prints at a very high level, and an understanding of professional standards.
Ten sheets of white BFK Rives (22 x30 inches) will be provided as part of the materials fee. Additional sheets may be purchased from the Work Center at $5 per sheet.
