In this workshop, I will share tricks and exercises that keep me writing when everything else in my world seems to want me to not write. We will do generative exercises on micro and short poems, fixed poetic forms on the smaller side (rondeau, cinquain, triolet), and will also talk about the role of research in generating new work. We’ll also talk and write ars poetica poems that will serve as guides to future poems.
